Monopole Antenna Radar Cross Section Reduction with Plasma Helix
In this paper, a new method for radar cross section reduction of a monopole antenna is proposed. In this method, a plasma helix like fluorescent bulbs is placed around the antenna element. The selected plasma parameter for this medium acts as an absorber without disturbing the antenna performance. The simulations show that radar cross section of simulated antenna is reduced in a wide frequency ...
متن کاملRadar Cross Section Model Optimisation Using Genetic Algorithms
Many missile–target simulation systems use random numbers to mimic the effects of a fluctuating target Radar Cross Section (RCS) in an attempt to minimise simulation times. In this paper a Genetic Algorithm is used to optimise the complexity of a pointscatterer model with a realistic radar cross section, ultimately allowing real measured data to be used in simulations. The performance of the ge...
متن کاملEvaluating the Radar Cross Section of Maritime Radar Reflectors Using Computational Electromagnetics
− This paper presents results from calculating the radar cross section (RCS) of two maritime radar reflectors using the method of moments. The Echomaster 152, although smaller in size, produces a higher maximum RCS than the Echomax 230 that includes three layers of corner reflectors. The Echomaster 152 also has deeper nulls in the RCS pattern, which means it is less detectable at those angles.
متن کاملRadar Cross-Section Estimation of SAR Images
We present an algorithm that is able to smooth out the speckle from many SAR images and which does not suuer from the drawbacks of multilooking. The algorithm is able to preserve the detail and resolution of the original image while producing a smooth, real-valued output. In many cases the quality of the smoothed image is suuciently high that it may be used with standard optical post-processing...

Multiscale composite models based on the Bragg theOly are widely used to study the U1LlI<,,'l~"~' radar cross-section (NRCS) over the sea sllrface. However, these models are able to correctly reproduce the NRCS in ail configurations and wind wave conditions. have developed a physical model that takes into account, not only the Bragg nisl11, but also the non-Bragg scattering l11echanisl11 associ...
